This is from a book called Killing Dragons, The Conquest of the Alps by Fergus Fleming. In 1818, there was a Russian count called Mazewski, and he decided to climb to the top of Mont Blanc to improve his poetry skills. Oh. There's a guy called John Oljo who climbed to the top so he could see a better reflection of the mountain and the lake.
