The hottest temperature ever recorded was in America, at somewhere called Furnace Creek Ranch. On Wikipedia, it says in brackets after it, 'formerly Greenland Ranch'. I assume that they changed it after that. Is that not in Death Valley? I've been there. It was hot. There was a sign saying you must not go out of your cars after 10 AM or something because it was so hot.
