East Kilbride

About East Kilbride
East Kilbride, often referred to as EK, is the largest town in South Lanarkshire in Scotland, and the country's sixth-largest locality by population. Historically a small village, it was designated Scotland's first "new town" on 6 May 1947, and thereafter widely expanded. The area lies on a raised plateau to the south of the Cathkin Braes, about eight miles southeast of Glasgow and close to the boundary with East Renfrewshire.

Between 2013 and 2016, the police in East Kilbride, Devon, Warwickshire, Camden, and Bristol all issued warnings about secret signs that burglars were using. They would put little signs on the floor next to some houses, and they might be telling people that this has already been burgled, or that a medium-sized dog lived here.
