General Motors make artificial stalactites out of their car byproducts for bats to cling on to. They've installed a couple of hundred of these across the USA — they put them in caves because it gives the bats more surface area to spread out and hang from.

Other times General Motors came up

  1. Take them to see My Fair Lady at a sixth of the price. It would be less expensive but doesn't make you feel like you're part of such a big operation. Wow. There were shows like The Bathrooms Are Coming, which was a 1969 show put on by American Standard Plumbers. There was Diesel Dazzle by General Motors in 1966. That one is quite good. It's alright isn't it? Worth making a big budget musical out of it.

  2. Out and hang from and that means when the bats have more space they don't all cluster together because when they cluster together they spread this disease amongst themselves called white nose syndrome which is kind of fungus that's very bad for the bats and as we know if we've learned anything it's that you should try and keep the bats healthy And so General Motors have started installing these. Right. What do they? I thought you were going to say there was some sort of amazing benefit for General Motors as a company to do this. Just PR. The intangible benefits of PR are huge den.

  3. The last time, the last I have was from 2008. In the US and the UK it sells more than any other make of car. That's great. Wouldn't that be great if that was the rescue plan for General Motors? We've actually got a new model. We are very excited and it's going to reinvigorate the American car industry. It's not a long way from smart cars, are they?

  4. The story that it's based on is the thing that actually happened. It's a group of car and oil companies. They were called National City Lines, right? It was controlled by General Motors. The thing they did in the early years of the 20th century, they bought up loads of streetcar lines. These streetcars with rails, trolley buses, things like this. All across America, they bought these up, and they dismantled them and shut them off.
