Shapeless Mountain was named that because of the inability of the discovering team to agree on what its actual shape was. When they went to climb Shapeless Mountain, they climbed the wrong mountain because they assumed it was Shapeless Mountain, and they ended up naming the mountain they mistakenly climbed Mistake Peak.
