About Oxford Circus

A fire occurred on 23 November 1984 at Oxford Circus tube station on the London Underground. Oxford Circus station, located in the heart of London's shopping district, is served by three deep-level tube lines: the Bakerloo line, Central line and Victoria line. The three lines are linked by a complex network of tunnels and cross-passages which all converge to a common booking hall situated beneath the junction of Oxford Street and Regent Street.

There's one right by Oxford Circus which still has snob screens. We don't have snugs anymore, which is so sad.

Other times Oxford Circus came up

  1. You enter a snug from outside, sit in the snug, no one in the pub can see you, and then the barman just has to wheel around a tray of drinks, and then you pull it in through like a little letterbox in your snuck. That sounds really seeing. It does sound fun. Can I ask, Andy, these snob screens, you said there's a few in London. I've been to, I would say most of the pubs around Oxford Circus, and I'd never seen this. Does that mean that they've put me in the working class bits? I've just been unaware of it. I've been breaking the code here.
