Vauxhall is an area of South London, within the London Borough of Lambeth. Named after a medieval manor called Fox Hall, it became well known for the Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens.

I was looking into it and it turns out the timings don't quite match up. It was actually that in 1838, there was a big music and entertainment pavilion that was built at the end of one of St. Petersburg's big stations. They called that Vauxhall after Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens. Then they came to refer to the whole station as that. Then they came to refer to stations as a whole as that.
